Wesley Swanson
Missionary to the Deaf Community
Rev. Wesley Swanson is the MCM missionary to the Deaf Community.
We have Deaf Ministry Coordinators in 27 state / district offices. Our Annual National Deaf Evangelism Conference is the highlight of the year and many deaf and hard of hearing have received the Holy Spirit at these conferences. Rev. Wesley Swanson helped start Deaf Leadership seminars in 2010 with Rev. Ernie Murillo. Presently, we have fifteen licensed deaf ministers and three with a Christian worker license. Our goal is to reach the deaf population of the United States and Canada with the beautiful gospel of Jesus Christ in Sign Language. There are over 28 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the U.S. and 4 million in Canada. Rev. Wesley Swanson is a licensed minister with the UPCI who has a master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling and retired as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and unit program specialist for the state of Texas. He mentors Deaf leaders and evangelizes. He pastors a deaf congregation—First Church Deaf Outreach—in Houston, Texas. He reaches many people around the country and the world through his preaching and Bible studies on Facebook weekly. Wesley enjoys golf and fishing in his spare time. Wesley is married to Carla Swanson. My wife Carla is a sign language interpreter with National Interpreter Certification.
