Joel Dunning
Missionaries to the Spanish Speaking Community
Joel and Cherie Dunning are the founding Pastors of a Spanish speaking church, TheHarvest Church (Iglesia Cosecha) in Ypsilanti, MI. After pastoring about 14 years, they turned over a thriving church to their assistant pastor so that they could focus on beginning new churches. They have since been involved in helping start new works, including one that still meets in their home.
Joel Dunning has also been the Detroit Metro District Spanish Director for the last 4 years, organizing Spanish and Bilingual speaking events, rallies, conferences, and overseeing all District Spanish Ministries.
Prior to founding The Harvest Church (Iglesia Cosecha), the Dunnings were involved in helping plant new works in Detroit, MI and Windsor, Ontario. The Dunnings have 2 adult children who are actively involved in the church, one grandchild, and another grandchild due in March 2026. They were approved by the United Pentecostal Church, International as Multicultural Missionaries to the Spanish in 2025.
